As the police and prosecutors have stated in a joint statement, the investigation against a 68-year-old has been closed in connection with the cases of abuse in Lügde in the district of Lippe.

There is no sufficient suspicion against the man from Steinheim in the district Höxter (North Rhine-Westphalia) before, so the reasoning.

The man's daughter had told the police that her father had entrusted her to the main defendant at the campsite in Lügde, although she had previously reported sexual assaults in the early 1990s. Thus the suspicion of the aid against the man existed.

According to the press release, however, the investigation revealed no evidence of sexual activity, violence or threats by the main accused, as described by the 39-year-old witness today.

At the campsite in Lügde, the main accused - a 56-year-old permanent campper - is said to have abused and filmed children with a 33-year-old accomplice for years. The two suspects and a 48-year-old from Stade in Lower Saxony are in custody.

So far, 40 victims have been identified. In addition to the three main suspects is now still being investigated against four suspects for possession of child pornography material from the campsite or for denial of justice.
