The legal problems for Sean Combs, also known by his stage name “Diddy,” are not getting any less. Recently, several women had accused him of rape and abuse, which the musician denied. Now the Department of Homeland Security approached Combs. The artist's houses were searched in at least US cities.

There were actions by investigators in Los Angeles and Miami, which the British “Guardian” reported on, among others. New York may also have been affected, although reports here are not clear.

CNN shows aerial footage of the action in Los Angeles. Armed security units in camouflage clothing can be seen. Armored police vehicles are parked in front of the luxurious property. The authority has not yet wanted to comment on the background.

The Department of Homeland Security (HSI), also known as the Ministry of Homeland Security and most comparable to the German Ministry of the Interior, serves to protect the US population and the national territory.

According to the Guardian, the operation was coordinated by HSI agents in New York. Combs faces several lawsuits there. Three women had filed civil lawsuits alleging sexual violence against Combs, including his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie. Combs quickly agreed to a settlement with Cassie in mid-November.

Agreement with ex-partner – but other proceedings are underway

The plaintiff had accused the musician of, among other things, sexual abuse, rape, intimidation and physical violence during their years-long relationship. Details of the terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

However, further proceedings are still ongoing. Among other things, an unnamed woman accuses Combs and two other men of being raped in the rapper's New York studio. She was given alcohol and drugs. At the time in 2003 she was only 17 years old. Combs rejects this.

The rapper ("Bad Boy for Life", "I'll Be Missing You"), who also works as a record producer, actor and businessman, is one of the most successful representatives of the hip-hop industry. At the MTV Video Music Awards in September, Combs received the Global Icon Award as a pioneer and for his influential career.
