On November 12, the Haikou City’s first air-film shelter laboratory, jointly built by the Haikou Municipal Health Commission and the Hainan Golden Mile Medical Inspection Center, completed the installation and commissioning.
According to reports, the shelter laboratory occupies a total area of 420 square meters and functionally distinguishes five modules, namely buffer zone, PCR corridor, sample processing area, amplification area and reagent preparation area, and adopts modular components and new antibacterial membranes. Material, high-strength framework and double-sealed design, etc., ensure its practicability and safety.
After being put into use, it can reach a production capacity of 80,000 tubes/day, effectively improving the nucleic acid screening and testing capabilities of all employees in Haikou City, and providing strong support for Hainan Province's epidemic prevention and control work.
