Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu checked the development of the infrastructure of the 48th Central Research Institute.
According to the head of the Russian Chemical Defense Forces, Igor Kirillov, the institute is preparing for commissioning two new buildings of the research cluster. The main stage of construction of the facilities has already been completed.
“The construction of new laboratory buildings will ensure the creation of a research cluster in the interests of biological protection,” the report notes.
It is noted that this cluster will make it possible to quickly identify biological threats and develop means of protection.
Earlier it was reported that Shoigu checked the progress of modernization of the experimental bases of the Research Institutes of the Defense Department, which are located in the Moscow region.
