The Turkish soccer coach, Galatasaray, Fatih Terim, announced yesterday that he had conducted a test to detect his infection with the emerging "Corona" virus, which had positive results. Terim said in a tweet on his account (Twitter): "The results of a test I underwent were positive, and therefore I was infected with the new (Corona) virus."

Terem added: “I am in safe hands at the hospital. Don't worry, I hope to communicate more as soon as possible. ” Terem and his nickname, “The Emperor,” are considered a prominent figure in the history of the famous club, which he previously trained three times (1996-2000, 2002-2004 and 2011-2013).

Terim, 66, took over the technical management of the ancient Turkish club in December 2017.

Terem managed to lead Galatasaray to eight local titles, the Turkish Cup three times and the Turkish Super Cup, and the European Union Cup at the expense of Arsenal in 2000, and is the only Turkish team to win a European title. He also led his country to the 2008 European Cup semi-finals, before he narrowly emerged at the hands of Germany 2-3.
