See the scenes from the match and the interview with VSK's club manager Patrik Lundstedt in the player above.

It was in Saturday's training match between Västerås and Djurgården that scandalous scenes unfolded. The match was abandoned after 70 minutes when supporters lit pyrotechnics and threw flares.

- It is still a slightly shocking experience. We have crossed some line. It's as far from okay as it can be, says Västerås SK's club manager Patrik Lundstedt.

"This must not happen again"

In order to curb similar problems in the future, the visitation work must, among other things, be reviewed and a temporary grandstand for away supporters must be completed for the Allsvenskan premiere.

In the past, it has been reported that it will initially accommodate 500 people and then eventually 2,000 people. Now Lundstedt confirms that the new stand will hold 2,000 right from the start.

- We hope that will go a long way. We know that the Stockholm teams above all come with large audiences. There is a rigorous security around what is planned and it will be ready, there is no doubt about that. All parties in this project fully agree that this should not happen again.

The police are critical: "It's really bad"

Henrik Isberg Törnros, operational coordinator for sports-related crime at the police, is critical of the arena's current condition.

- It's really bad. It is an arena that is not suitable for elite football as the situation is now. The arena is not good without a new card side, he says.

But despite the facilities, he does not blame Västerås SK.

- An 80-something wants nothing more than to destroy and then it's not easy for VSK. I don't blame anyone but the supporters. It was a good decision that the match was broken, we are showing somewhere that now it is enough.
