The clerk of a food store in Badalona lived in the early hours of last Wednesday an absurd robbery attempt, which had a happy ending thanks to the resistance of the employee and the surprising attitude of the assailant.
The security cameras of the premises picked up at the moment when a woman dressed in black and with her face covered addresses the shopkeeper threatening him with a knife in his hand and asks him to throw the closure. "Close the blind. Or if you're not dead," the robber threatens.
The clerk offers him beer and goes to fulfill the woman's mandate but returns with a stool to protect himself. The assailant becomes even more upset and tells him not to give it and threatens to kill him again. "Lower that, because you're going to find me that, but I'm going to kill you."
The woman asks for the money from the box, but the man resists and heads towards her. Then they struggle with the stool while she remains with the knife raised. And at the moment of maximum tension, an unexpected ending. The woman gives up and leaves: "I'm leaving because I'm having an anxiety attack."
