Last year, a 35-year-old employee who was arrested in connection with the murder of the store manager at a ramen shop in Yokohama made a statement about the murder weapon, a kitchen knife, saying, ``I bought it in advance and brought it to the crime scene,'' suggesting that the incident was premeditated. Interviews with investigators have revealed that there is a suspicion that this may have happened. Prosecutors charged him with robbery and murder on the 9th, as he had stolen cash and other items during the incident.

The person indicted was Akihito Ohashi (35), who was an employee of a ramen restaurant in Kamiooka Nishi, Konan Ward, Yokohama City.

According to the indictment, in September last year, he was charged with robbery and murder for stabbing Hiroki Ohashi (33), a relative of the store where he worked, with a kitchen knife and robbing him of cash and other items.

The police investigation so far has revealed that the murder weapon, a kitchen knife, was found at the crime scene, but the defendant made statements such as ``purchasing the knife in advance and bringing it to the crime scene,'' indicating that the incident was premeditated. Interviews with investigators have revealed that there is a suspicion that this may have happened.

Additionally, the defendant appears to have been working at Mr. Ohashi's store for several years, and according to investigators, he also made a statement to the effect that ``a grudge had built up over work.''

Prosecutors held him in custody for approximately four months, and based on the results of a psychiatric evaluation by an expert, determined that he could be held criminally responsible, and filed charges on the 9th.
