Four Romanian citizens were arrested yesterday at 2:00 p.m. in Las Rozas after a spectacular chase after snatching five mobile phones and taking them from an

Orange store located at number 14 Avenida de Europa in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid)

. The thieves abandoned the car in the Europolis industrial park and were hunted next to the M-505, near the Burgocentro shopping center in Las Rozas.

The robbery occurred around 1:30 p.m. when several hooded people got out of a car and stampeded into the telephone store.

They tore off the anti-theft anchor and seized at least five mobile phones valued at more than 5,000 euros.

The agents of the Municipal Police of Pozuelo immediately received notice of the coup and activated the

operation to close the municipality

to try to arrest those involved. The suspects passed in front of an unmarked car that began its pursuit and activated the rest of the patrols.

The assailants headed at full speed towards the M-50, pursued by the Pozuelo Municipal Police.

Agents from the Municipal Police of Majadahonda and Las Rozas also joined the chase.

Finally, the thieves found themselves

cornered on the M-505, at Galicia Street, very close to Burgocentro

. The four were arrested despite the fact that one of them tried to run away and yesterday afternoon they were taken to the Pozuelo National Police station to be interrogated.

Police were able to recover the stolen phones

in the vehicle used in the hit and run. The store worker told the police that the perpetrators of the robbery did not threaten her and that they went directly in to steal the anchored mobile phones that were at the entrance of the store.
