The alarm was received by the police at 11 pm on Wednesday evening.
At the scene, the police perceive that the man has a firearm.
- There then arises such a threatening situation that shots are fired, says Rickard Lundqvist, press spokesperson at the police in the South region.
The 45-year-old man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
According to Region Skåne, his injuries are serious.
- Now the police officers who have been on the scene must tell what has happened and a prosecutor must investigate what has happened at the scene.
Right now we can only say that this man has something that can be perceived as a firearm, says Lundqvist.
Initially, the incident was classified as violence against an official, but the criminal classification had not yet been determined at midnight.
Since the police have fired shots, the incident will also be investigated by the Special Investigations Department.
