“It’s time for the US State Department to refresh the page in the browser and see the latest information in order to see the real state of affairs and understand that the Russian Armed Forces and the forces of the DPR have liberated Mariupol,” the parliamentarian believes.
He added that Washington is once again trying to "fool the world community."
“The outright lie of the State Department that Ukrainian forces allegedly retain control over Mariupol is another substitution of concepts in the spirit of American politics,” he concluded.
Price had previously said that Ukrainian forces were still holding Mariupol.
The Kremlin noted that there is not even a grain of truth in the statement of the State Department about “disinformation” about Mariupol.
The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov, said that this was a fake and "direct aiding terrorists at a high state level."
On April 21, the head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu, reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin about the capture of Mariupol under the control of the Russian Armed Forces, the LPR and the DPR.
He noted that the city itself had been liberated, but militants still remained on the territory of Azovstal.
