Konashenkov called the words of the State Department about the "control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" over Mariupol aiding the terrorists

“The strained attempts of the speaker of the US State Department to habitually lie about allegedly maintaining control over Mariupol by the Nazi rabble are fake and direct aiding terrorists at a high state level.

The State Department habitually misinforms its own citizens, and everyone else, ”he said.

Ukraine itself, its residents in Mariupol and other cities, are of interest to Washington “only in terms of profits from the supply of weapons there” and the fight against Russia even “to the last Ukrainian,” added a representative of the Ministry of Defense.

Earlier, State Department spokesman Ned Price said Ukrainian forces were still holding Mariupol.

The Kremlin emphasized that there is not even a grain of truth in the statement of the State Department about “disinformation” about Mariupol.

On April 21, the head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu, reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin about the capture of Mariupol under the control of the Russian Armed Forces, the LPR and the DPR. 

He noted that the city itself had been liberated, but militants remained on the territory of Azovstal.
