- Nothing has happened that has actively led the investigation forward. The man is heard and there we got some information, but not so much that we have someone we can reasonably suspect of the crime. Of course, based on the information we have, we have thoughts in a certain direction, but there is nothing we can land in right now, says Calle Jerrhage, preliminary investigator at the police.
In a short period of time, Norrköping has suffered several serious violent crimes. It's about the double murder outside a nightclub at the end of last year, the blast in a residential building in Hageby for almost three weeks and now the shooting in Hageby.
Request reinforcement- We are now facing so many serious crimes in Norrköping that we have requested reinforcement from the other counties. Hopefully we have it in place this week. We never go out with operational numbers, but we have requested the reinforcement we believe we need. The situation is quite strained right now, says Calle Jerrhage.
Police do not suspect the shooting has links to the blast in Hageby.
- We see this as an isolated event that is not linked to the blast history. But we do not exclude anything, says Calle Jerrhage.
