Barbate The judge sends six of the eight arrested for the death of two civil guards in Barbate to prison
The Superior Prosecutor's Office of Andalusia will investigate
the videos
that captured the drug boat ramming the Civil Guard boat in the port of Barbate (Cádiz) on Friday night to act against those who were encouraging the attack. Those attacks caused the
death of two civil guards
and injuries to two other agents.
In one of the videos, which lasts several minutes, you can hear how
the people recording it are cheering
on the drug traffickers to sink the agents, while two boats circle around a small Civil Guard patrol boat to run over it.
Now, the senior prosecutor of Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla,
Ana Tárrago
, has opened a government file this Tuesday to initiate criminal investigation proceedings against people who make comments and
encourage drug traffickers
in videos uploaded to social networks, while the drug gang attacked the Civil Guard boat.
The government file begins because the Superior Prosecutor's Office of Andalusia has considered that "there are reasons that advise and justify it," following the report presented by the Judicial Police Unit attached to the Prosecutor's Office of the Community of Andalusia, in which phrases are analyzed , messages and expressions that accompany the videos uploaded to
social networks
.
For prosecutor Ana Tárrago, the aforementioned report reveals facts in which expressions appear "with a criminal appearance that
threaten honor
, physical security, in addition to affecting other legal rights."
The government file, together with the report of the Police Unit Attached to the Superior Prosecutor's Office, will be sent to the Provincial Prosecutor's Office of Cádiz to open criminal investigation proceedings and proceed to carry out the appropriate investigations, given the criminal legal significance of the facts.
Six suspects in prison
These investigations by the Prosecutor's Office join those initiated by the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 1 of Barbate to clarify the events that occurred in the port of Barbate this Friday that caused the death of two civil guards. This court ordered this Monday, at the request of the Prosecutor's Office and the private prosecution carried out by the Unified Association of Civil Guards (
AUGC
), the entry into provisional prison, communicated and without bail of six of the eight people detained after the attack by the drug boat to the Civil Guard boat.

two crimes of murder
, four crimes of attempted murder, six crimes of aggravated attack, one crime of smuggling and one crime of serious resistance to a law enforcement agent, as reported by the Press Office of the Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia (TSJA).
Likewise, the judge of Barbate has agreed this Monday to the
provisional release
of the other two arrested persons with the obligation to appear in court on the 1st of each month. These two detainees are being investigated for alleged crimes of
concealment
and resistance to a law enforcement agent. In their respective court appearances, all of the detainees have given statements.
