On their trip to the Pacific, Prince Harry was defeated in a curious contest by his wife, Duchess Meghan. The Duke of Sussex clearly lost to the Duchess at Wellington Throwing in New Zealand's largest city of Auckland.

The 37-year-old came with her boot one meter closer to the finish than her husband. Harry was praised by spectators, including many children, but for his better technique.

Wellington Wading is quite common in New Zealand. The competition is not necessarily taken very seriously.

The pair from London was also presented with another gift for his first child to be born in spring: a pair of rubber boots. The Pacific trip comes to an end after more than two weeks on Thursday. Earlier stations were Australia, Fiji and Tonga.
