In the vicinity of Berlin's Kurfürstendamm, unknown persons drove a stolen car to a jewelry store. The police reported that they repeatedly drove the vehicle against the shop window - when it gave in, the two masked men entered the store and threatened two employees with a gun. The robbers captured watches and jewelry and fled on foot.

A 57-year-old employee reportedly suffered a shock and was taken to hospital. His 38-year-old colleague was unhurt. The incident occurred on Tuesday at 17:45.

The car had been stolen in mid-January in Neukölln, according to police, it is therefore a VW Passat. The state criminal investigation office took over the investigations.
