Troubled city: Troop gathering in the streets of Munich during the November Revolution of 1918. Five years later another radical change was tried out in Munich - this time by Hitler and his National Socialists. Some conservative Jews in the years after the war considered the danger emanating from right-wing extremist Nazis less than that of socialist experiments. Thus it came to the dispute between Jewish supporters and opponents of the Munich Soviet Republic.
