She wraps herself in a warm blanket, whispering into the camera, and in the background is a shower: The British soul singer Joss Stone has apparently impressed and turned to her fans after a concert in Syria.

On Instagram she posted a video on Sunday after her appearance in the city of Al-Malikiya in the northeast of the Civil War country. This shows them - according to their own statement - in the bathroom of a Syrian hotel.

"We've managed to cross the border, it's really cool, I like it here, and I'm very happy that nothing bad has happened," Stone said.

We made it into #syria #kurdistan it was a little scary crossing the boarder as ofocurse we have absolutely no idea what might transpire, we just have to trust the people on the ground that are advising us and looking after us. This was the beginning, it was cold and wet so so nice to meet. #syria deserves not to be ignored #kurdistan deserves not to be ignored. There is a lot of coming from all sorts of different directions. I heard that isis surrendered yesterday but that does not mean it's all over the Syrian people or the Kurdish people, it's a story I'm not in a position to tell you all learn a lot from my short time there and I hope that peace will come to every one on all sides soon. #totalworldtour

Stone, who is currently on her "Total World Tour", also posted a lengthy Instagram post: "We've made it to Syria and Kurdistan," she wrote. "It was a bit scary to cross the border." She and her team had no plan and trusted the people who had taken care of them.
