Since the takeover of the American Altmarke Indian by the Polaris Group, the traditional bikes are a serious competition for the top dog Harley-Davidson. Indian is now targeting other hunting grounds as well: The brand new FTR 1200 S is a challenge to the European and Japanese manufacturers of modern naked bikes, especially those with two-cylinder V-engines. The FTR 1200 S is visually like a current Sandbahn-Flat Track-Racer there; The V-twin engine has 1203 cubic, 120 hp and 115 Nm of torque. Technically and electronically, the FTR 1200 S is up to date: ABS, three riding modes, traction control, LED lights and a digital cockpit. The Americans have thought of everything.
