This parking maneuver was not only illegal, but also quite expensive: a 14-year-old caused damage to property in Hamm, North Rhine-Westphalia, when he wanted to park his father's car.
The teenager grabbed the vehicle key "unauthorized" on Thursday evening and wanted to drive the Ford Focus backwards out of a parking space, the police said. But the action failed: The 14-year-old collided with three other cars and damaged them significantly, according to the officials.
One of the affected vehicles was then no longer ready to drive and had to be towed away from the scene of the accident, police said. A criminal case was initiated against the youth.
