In a heavy autumn storm with hail and heavy rains, three people died in Cyprus. They died in the Turkish north of the Mediterranean island. Cypriot President Nikos Anastasiades offered help to the Turkish Cypriots, as the state television (RIK) reported.

Police and firefighters moved all over the island to rescue people locked in cars. In addition, the forces transport fallen trees and solar panels, which had been torn from the wind.

The hardest hit were the center of the port city of Limassol and rural areas, near the small town Kyrenia (Turkish: Girne).
