Board cinema, helicopter landing pad, luxurious cabins - clear. The ultimate currency in the exclusive empire of super yachts but is: the length. With its 229 meters, the "Valkyrie" rivals such as the "Azzam" (180 meters) or the "Fulk al Salamah" (164 meters). And yet she should not become what such a ship is normally: the exclusive toy of a heavy-handed. Access to normal mortals prohibited.

According to the plans of its designer Chulhun Park, the powerful trimaran "Valkyrie" is to become a publicly accessible entertainment location with beach club, cinema, casino, two restaurants, sauna and spa. Accordingly wealthy guests could buy day passes or rent one of the 26 guest cabins. The "Valkyrie" is also designed for art exhibitions and conferences.

Super yacht "Valkyrie": Parks plan

The sharing concept is aimed at potential, wealthy ship owners who do not even pay their yachts out of petty cash: With revenues from entrance fees or cabin rental, at least parts of the estimated construction costs of 800 million US dollars (converted over 705 million euros) and finance the expensive, ongoing costs.

For eight months, "Valkyrie" designer Park has worked on the design of his Supertrimarans as part of his master's thesis at the Royal College of Arts in London. He had support from luxury yacht builder Palmer Johnson, where he worked as a designer for five years after completing his studies.

"There are so many white yachts that look like a multi-story wedding cake, I wanted to create a distinctive design," says the 36-year-old, who is now chief designer at the Latitude Yachts shipyard in Riga.

"Most superyacht owners try to outfit their ships in a particularly expensive and luxurious way," says Parks. For him, the greatest luxury of the "Valkyrie" lies in the large open spaces.
