The preliminary investigation against one of the accused in Chemnitz has been closed. A complicity in the deadly knife attack on a 35-year-olds more than four months ago, the Iraqi is not proven, said the prosecutor Chemnitz. Even the testimony of witnesses who first described the man as a participant in the crime had not been confirmed in the course of the interrogations.

Yousif A. was initially arrested after the killing offense, but was released about three weeks later due to lack of suspicion again. Urgently suspect in this case are two more men.

The prosecution filed a lawsuit against them in the past week, among other things for joint manslaughter. He is said to have stabbed 35-year-old Daniel H. during a dispute with a knife at the end of August. He died immediately after the crime. Another man was injured by knife wounds.

Another suspect is still on the run. He has been wanted for months with an international arrest warrant. He should also have stabbed with a knife on H. The case sparked numerous demonstrations and riots by right-wing extremist groups in Chemnitz because the alleged suspects were asylum seekers.
