Two Filipino suspects were arrested for murdering a couple in their 50s at a house in Adachi Ward, Tokyo. Investigators have learned that the couple's wallet and cell phone were found in a coin locker at a nearby station. I learned this from the interview.
The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the possibility that it was taken from the scene in order to delay the discovery of the incident.
Morales Hazel Ann Bagisha (30), a Filipino national, and Dela Cruz Brian Jefferson Ricin (34) broke into a house in Adachi Ward, Tokyo on January 16th this year. He was arrested on the 1st for allegedly stabbing Norihiro Takahashi (55) and his wife Kimie Takahashi (52) who lived in the house to death with a kitchen knife.
In this incident, the eldest son returned home that night and reported to the Metropolitan Police Department that he did not know where his parents were, and two days later, on January 18, the bodies of the couple were found under the floorboards.
During subsequent investigation, it was learned from interviews with investigators that the Takahashi couple's wallets and cell phones were found in a coin locker at a nearby station.
It appears that the suspects left it there based on security camera footage.
The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the possibility that the couple pretended to have gone out and took the items away from the scene in order to delay the discovery of the incident.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, both men have denied the charges.
