On the morning of March 1st, there was an accident on the Joshinetsu Expressway in Komoro City, Nagano Prefecture, involving at least 20 vehicles, including large trucks and passenger cars, resulting in one person's death.

There was fog at the scene at the time, and according to the fire department, about 10 other people were injured, so police are investigating the cause of the accident.

Around 8:30 a.m. on the 1st, there was an accident involving more than 20 vehicles, including large trucks and passenger cars, on the upbound line of the Joshinetsu Expressway in Komoro City.



One person was confirmed dead in the accident, and according to the fire department, approximately 10 people were injured and transported to the hospital, one of whom was a police officer who was responding to the scene.



According to the police, there was fog on the Joshinetsu Expressway near the scene at the time, making visibility poor, and police are investigating the cause of the accident in detail.

, the up and down lines between Tobu-Yunomaru IC and Saku IC on the Joshinetsu Expressway have been closed, and the road from


Saku-kita IC to Saku-Komoro JCT on the Chubu-Odan Expressway, which connects to this section, has been closed. The inbound line in between is also closed.
