According to Guo Jiawei, director of the Office of the Xiaobailou Street Working Committee of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Heping District, Tianjin, “Heping Night Talk” is an innovative form of regular activity in Heping District in implementing the party’s mass line. At that time, more than 60 informants went to the community's shuttlecock team, table tennis team and other sports social organizations to solicit opinions. 39 opinions were solicited, and 6 of them were adopted for the first time.

According to reports, after two and a half years, the grassroots legislative contact point completed the consultation work on 22 draft laws including the "Sports Law", "Charity Law" and "Patriotism Education Law", and fed back 681 opinions and suggestions to the National People's Congress. Among the laws that have been enacted, 52 have been adopted.
