The police stopped a drunk bus driver at the train station in Buchloe in the Ostallgäu district.

A woman - the only passenger on the bus - alerted the police on Tuesday morning when she saw that the driver was said to have drunk from a beer bottle while driving.

The police announced this on Wednesday.

In addition, he is said to have stopped on the right during the bus ride in order to "relieve himself," as the report continued.

When emergency services checked the driver at the train station, a breath alcohol test showed a level of over 1.1 per mille.

The officers ordered a blood sample and confiscated his driver's license.
