In 2015, the body of a 25-year-old woman was found in a cemetery in Sagamihara City. Her ex-boyfriend, Kazumaro Sato (38), was charged with murder. He maintained his innocence, saying, "There is a possibility that this is the case."



Five years ago, the Tokyo District Court in the first instance sentenced him to 17 years in prison for causing death by suffocation by forcing him to take sleeping pills and compressing his neck. It cannot be denied,'' and ordered a new trial.



On the 27th, Presiding Judge Ken Nomura of the Tokyo District Court, who has been conducting a new trial, explained how the victim died, saying, ``The defendant gave her a large amount of sleeping pills for the purpose of murder. The defendant suffocated to death under pressure,'' and admitted that the defendant had killed her.



He then sentenced her to 17 years in prison, saying, ``He murdered the victim after he started dating another woman and became disabled, which was a premeditated murder with selfish motives.''
