On the 25th, three employees were stabbed at a convenience store in Sapporo, and a 43-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempting to murder one of them. Multiple knives were seized from the scene. I learned this from an interview with the police.

Police believe there was a strong murderous intent and are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident.

On the morning of the 25th, three male and female employees were stabbed at the Seicomart Kita 31-jo convenience store in Kita Ward, Sapporo, resulting in the death of a man in his 40s and the injury of two others.

Hirotaka Miyanishi (43), an unemployed man from Kita Ward, Sapporo City, who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder of a 60-year-old male store clerk who was injured in this incident, revealed to police that he stabbed three people with murderous intent. While admitting what he did, he is also saying things that don't make sense.

During the investigation so far, it was learned from interviews with police that multiple knives were seized from the scene.

Additionally, analysis of security camera footage shows that Miyanishi appears to have first attacked two men and women inside the store one after another, then entered the backyard and stabbed the deceased man.

There was no evidence that the store's cash register had been broken into, and police believe there was strong murderous intent based on the circumstances at the scene and are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident.
