A driver drove his car under a truck on the A6 near Heilbronn-Biberach and was slightly injured.
The accident early Saturday morning left a field of rubble that stretched over several hundred meters, the police said.
The 24-year-old was traveling in his car at excessive speed and skidded, the statement said.
The truck involved in the accident had previously moved from the right lane to the middle lane.
As a result, a car in the middle lane had to briefly move to the left lane, where the 24-year-old was driving.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The highway was completely closed for about an hour.
