Two light rail vehicles collided head-on in Stuttgart.

Several people were injured, some of them seriously.

A fire department spokesman said one person was trapped and had to be freed.

It is still unclear how many people were injured in total.

The “Stuttgarter Nachrichten” reports that at least ten people were injured.

The operational measures were still ongoing in the morning.

According to initial findings, the trains were approaching each other on the same track.

Nothing more was known about the accident.

The accident occurred around 10 a.m. in the Wangen district of Stuttgart.
