“Chukotka, Yakutia, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Novosibirsk, Omsk and the south of the Urals are an area of ​​high pressure, an anticyclone.

Therefore, the conditions there are simple, with virtually no precipitation, but there are very low temperatures everywhere.

That is, abnormally cold weather,” Tsygankov said.

He added that snow, blizzards, and gusty winds are forecast for the Kuril Islands and Chukotka.

“Omsk region, Krasnoyarsk region, Altai region, Irkutsk region, Altai Republic, Novosibirsk region, Kemerovo region - there is also abnormally cold weather, frosts at night -40 ° C and below.

The same situation is in the south of the Urals: Tyumen region, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan also have abnormally cold weather.
