According to the aforementioned media, Ganios, of Greek origin, died on Sunday morning after surgery he underwent for a spinal infection. His wife has said that everything happened "very quickly" so it seems "unreal" to her. "He wasn't feeling well and hid it from me for days. When he finally told me and they took him to the hospital, his spinal cord was severely infected. They operated on him and the next morning his heart stopped," Amanda announced.
