After several days of searching, a German snowboarder has been found dead in a ski resort in the Austrian Alps. As the Vorarlberg police announced on Friday, the 44-year-old, who lives in Austria, was alone in the Bödele ski area on January 20th. When he didn't show up for an appointment days later, a missing person report was filed.

A parking lot operator on Bödele noticed the man's car on Tuesday, whereupon a large-scale search operation was started in the area. The German's body was found two days later. Police believe the man got lost in the area and died of hypothermia.
