The military and strategic expert, Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi, said that despite the great destruction caused by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip, the resistance videos show that the territory of the Strip is still working for the benefit of its people and serving their defensive battle, warning that any attack on the city of Rafah will lead to a humanitarian disaster.

Al Jazeera channel broadcast new scenes of sniper operations carried out by the Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) - targeting two members of the Israeli occupation army, one of whom is a sniper, in addition to scenes of targeting Israeli vehicles in the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood, west of Gaza City.

In an analysis for Al Jazeera, Al-Duwairi said that Tal Al-Hawa has been witnessing intense battles for more than a week, after the occupation forces returned to it from the Sheikh Ajlin area and expanded to a depth of 3 kilometers and a width of 500 meters, considering the Al-Qassam clip a miniature picture of the battles taking place there.

The military analyst pointed out that the calm state that the Qassam sniper appeared in during the preparation and monitoring process reflects self-confidence and good readiness, noting that the sight of dust resulting from the occupation sniper’s targeting confirms that the hit was good and achieved its goal.

Al-Duwairi believes that the clip reveals that the Gaza lands work for the benefit of the resistance elements and serve its people, in light of the fact that the management of battles is different from what it was in the past, as the Qassams rely on reconnaissance, monitoring and surveillance in different places.

Al-Duwairi does not rule out that the targeted sniper was the one who killed approximately 9 civilians on the day the operation took place, as he was monitored and located, and then the appropriate location was taken to target him.

Regarding the talk of the Israeli occupation Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, about preparing to carry out an attack on the city of Rafah, Al-Duwairi said that this would lead to a humanitarian catastrophe in light of Rafah’s overcrowding with displaced people, as there are approximately 1,300,000 people from the Gaza Strip, a large portion of whom are on the border in the Philadelphia corridor.

Netanyahu had stated that he had ordered the army to develop a dual plan to evacuate civilians from Rafah and crush the remaining Hamas brigades, adding that it was not possible to achieve the goals of the war in Gaza while maintaining 4 Hamas brigades in Rafah.

In this context, Al-Duwairi said that Netanyahu always uses the word crushing, and he previously talked about crushing the resistance brigades in the north and center, which is how he is trying to deceive his audience and justify the expansion of his ground operation, but reality belies him, as Hamas is still carrying out its civil and military role in the north. .

The military expert believes that Netanyahu's goal in his efforts to move to Rafah is to control the Philadelphia Corridor, because if he succeeds in that, he will be able to isolate Gaza from the world, and if he tries to carry out his ground operation in the West Bank, this will lead to a major humanitarian catastrophe.

Regarding Netanyahu’s announcement that he aims to eliminate 4 Hamas brigades, Al-Duwairi said that this is a weak argument that he is presenting to America and the Western world, in light of Washington’s reservations about this operation because it is costly from a human standpoint, and it is difficult to find effective solutions without a human catastrophe.
