Ivory Coast, Mali and South Africa have snatched the last tickets for the quarter-finals of this
CAN 2024
. The eight winning selections are now known. Starting with Angola and Nigeria, with Palancas Negras surprising with their level of play, who defeated Namibia without any problem
(3-0)
. A high-flying duel therefore awaits the Super Eagles, who gained momentum during the eighth, after a mixed group phase, to get rid of
Cameroon (2-0)
.
On the same day, the meeting between
Guinea
and
DR Congo
, two not very prolific but very eye-catching teams, promises a big battle which could well take the Sily and the Panthers to the end of the night.
The next day,
Ivory Coast
will try to continue its miraculous journey. After eliminating
Senegal
, who were among the big favorites, the Elephants launched their African Cup of Nations. But the quarter-final against Mali will be anything but easy for the locals, the Eagles were solid and inspired offensively against Burkina Faso (2-1).
Finally, Cape Verde, one of the great sensations of the group stage, will benefit from an “affordable” quarter-final in order to continue its great adventure and reach the last four for the first time in its history. However, on the other hand, Bafana Bafana, winners of the great
Morocco
, who had landed in Ivory Coast as the best African selection, will have their say.
