On the evening of January 26, the "Ode to Unity" - a performance of the cultural and artistic achievements of the Capital United Front, co-sponsored by the United Front Work Department of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, was held at the National Theater. Yang Jinbai, member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of the United Front Work Department, Wang Hong, Sima Hong, Wang Jinnan, Yan Aoshuang, Chen Jun and Yan Ying, heads of the city's democratic parties and the Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended the event.

  The performance received positive response and enthusiastic participation from units of the city's United Front system and the majority of United Front members. It used United Front personnel to interpret United Front stories and brought together songs, folk arts, dramas, recitations, instrumental music, song and dance, dance and other art forms.   The performance kicked off with a chorus of 100 people singing "China Red". Programs such as Chairman Mao Zedong's poem "Ode to the Plum Blossoms", Pingju opera "The Red Detachment of Women", dance "Yellow River", excerpts from the stage play "Looking at the Sages", etc., take the audience back to the era of bloody battles of the Chinese nation. Programs such as the recitation of "Talk about the Yangtze River", the cello performance of "Sing a Folk Song for the Party", the song "Sing a Folk Song for the Party Again" and the dance "Concentric Circles" eulogized the lofty spirit of the unity and struggle of the Chinese nation. The song "Spring Story", the erhu performance "The Grapes Are Ripe", the ethnic dance "Salay Maixi Laifu", the recitation "A Hundred Years of Overseas Chinese", the song "Bound by Blood" and other programs recreated the united front's love for family members A vivid picture of the people working together to build a great motherland. The dance "Dancing in the New Era", excerpts from the modern Peking opera "The Party's Daughter", excerpts from the situational performance "Together with the Farmers and Workers in a Prosperous Age", the songs "Run" and "Never Forget the Original Intention" unfold a magnificent picture of national rejuvenation. We encourage all members of the United Front to keep in mind the original intention of cooperation and continue to move forward together in the new journey.

  At the end of the program, the audience sang "Ode to the Motherland" in unison, using their singing to express the common aspirations of the members of the Capital United Front: "Sing our dear motherland, and we will move towards prosperity and strength from now on."
