Three people, including the sales manager of a payment processing company, were arrested by the Metropolitan Police Department for fraudulently entering into a franchise contract with a credit card company in someone else's name.

Those arrested include Yusuke Kato (43), the sales head of the Tokyo branch of Zentoshin, a credit card payment agency, and Akimichi Takemoto (62), a company executive from Shinagawa Ward. It's a person.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, from January to February 2019, when a restaurant in Shinbashi, Minato Ward, Tokyo was involved in the process of signing a franchise contract with a credit card company, it was accused of fraudulently applying for a contract in another person's name. He is suspected of falsifying records.

The three men entered into a contract with false information at the request of the store, and received a percentage of the sales paid by credit card as compensation.

Last year, this restaurant was exposed for allegedly forcing customers to pay high prices by feigning credit card payment failures, and since it had repeatedly operated illegally in the past, the management decided that they would not be able to sign a contract. It appears that the application was filed under a different name.

The head of the sales headquarters and company executives have denied the charges, saying, ``We just went through the proper procedures.''

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating and suspects that there are other cases of fraudulent franchise contracts.
