On the night of the 25th, a 27-year-old office worker was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after hitting two men with his car on the street in Tokyo's Ota Ward and fleeing the scene. The vehicle traveled about 200 meters with one person on the hood, and we are investigating the details of how it happened.

The suspect arrested was Ranmaru Nishikawa (27), a company employee living in Kawasaki City.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, just before 8 p.m. on the 25th, at an intersection at Haneda Airport in Ota Ward, he hit two men who were standing in front of his car while waiting at a traffic light, and then put one of them on the bonnet. After driving for about 200 meters, he dropped the car and drove off, leading to suspicions of attempted murder.

One of the men suffered severe injuries that broke his right knee.

It appears that the trouble occurred when the company employee's car changed lanes, causing the cars driven by two men to collide.

In response to the investigation, he partially denied the charges, saying, ``There is no doubt that the truth is true, but there was no murderous intent.''

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the details of the incident.
