The documentary "Chen Ning Yang: A Century of Science" uses a variety of creative methods, combined with advanced special effects animation and scene reproduction technology, to vividly restore Yang Zhenning's scientific path under the vicissitudes of history.

The documentary production team conducted an in-depth investigation of more than 22,000 precious historical materials in the Chen Ning Yang Academic Archives of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, including articles, letters, manuscripts, books and photos published by Chen Ning Yang since 1944. Most of these historical materials have never been made public.

The team also obtained rich footage from Sweden and the United States of Chen-Ning Yang being awarded the Nobel Prize in 1957, as well as videos of some of Chen-Ning Yang’s lectures, correspondence with famous physicists such as Fermi, etc.

The production team followed Yang's footsteps and visited and filmed in Tsinghua University, Princeton, Stony Brook University and other places, and interviewed many scientists, relatives, friends, old friends and colleagues who were familiar with Yang's work and life.

Chen Ning Yang also helped the production team obtain and authorize the use of many precious historical materials that had not been released before, including a large number of images that he personally shot - family members and physics colleagues Dirac, Heisenberg, Wheeler, etc. during the meeting.
