At least 13 children showed signs of poisoning in a school in Ahrensfelde in Brandenburg on Wednesday morning, a spokesman for the Barnim district said.

Initially, nine children complained of nausea and vomiting as well as headaches.

The affected children's classroom was evacuated.

Around 20 emergency vehicles were on site on Wednesday morning.
