Al Jazeera broadcast scenes of the efforts of volunteers recovering the bodies of martyrs that had decomposed under the rubble of buildings in the Maghazi camp in the center of the besieged Gaza Strip.

One of the volunteers said, “There are dozens of bodies under the rubble and rubble, and no one came to retrieve these decomposed bodies.” He added, “We were waiting for the rescue teams, the municipality, the Red Crescent, or the Civil Defense to come to deal with the bodies of the martyrs instead of leaving them in the streets to be eaten by dogs and cats.”
The video showed volunteers working with their hands and not having equipment to help them carry out their task. Another added, "I witnessed with my own eyes the killing of an entire family of 60 people, and their bodies are still buried under the rubble of their house."
