Multiple batches of large-scale yellow-spine bamboo locusts were successfully intercepted and culled, and the joint prevention and control mechanism for major forestry pests on both sides has been continuously strengthened.

In July 2023, the agriculture and forestry departments of both sides signed the "Memorandum on Joint Prevention and Control of Forest and Grass Disasters" at the Department of Agriculture and Forestry of Phongsaly Province, reaching a consensus to further strengthen the prevention of major forest and grass pest disasters in border areas.
