JR West Japan has announced that it aims to resume operations on the entire JR Nanao Line in Ishikawa Prefecture around the middle of next month, although there was no prospect of complete restoration due to damage caused by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake.

The JR Nanao Line has currently suspended operations between Hakui Station and Wakura Onsen Station in Ishikawa Prefecture due to major damage to the tracks and other equipment caused by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake.

As a result of the restoration work underway, JR West plans to resume service between Hakui Station and Nanao Station from the 22nd of this month, but there is currently no prospect of restoration for the section between Nanao Station and Wakura Onsen Station. It was.

Regarding this section, JR West announced on the 19th that it aims to resume operation around the middle of next month, based on the construction situation.

Meanwhile, Ishikawa Prefecture's third sector ``Noto Railway'' was also damaged in this earthquake, and operations have been suspended on the entire line between Nanao Station and Anamizu Station.

Because it was difficult for Noto Railway to carry out restoration work, JR West, which owns the tracks, was responsible for the restoration work.

After that, they aim to resume operation in the section between Nanao Station and Noto-Nakajima Station around the middle of next month.

According to JR West, the outlook for the resumption of service between the remaining Noto-Nakajima Station and Anamizu Station will be announced again after checking the progress of the construction work.
