A woman is drunk thrown out of a disco. Two policemen offer to drive her home – then they both have sex with her: In England, a former policeman has been sentenced to one year in prison on probation. He is accused of having slept with the woman in the patrol car in October 2015.
The now 47-year-old had acted in a "moment of madness" and had also been instigated by his colleague, who also had sex with the woman, a judge in London on Monday justified his "mild" sentence. At the same time, he emphasized that it was a serious breach of trust.
The former police officer had confessed to the incident and had been found guilty in one count of misconduct in a public office. He must also perform 100 hours of community service and pay around 4000,<> euros in court costs.
Together with his colleague, who has since died, the man was on patrol in the northern English city of Chesterfield at the time.
The colleague of the now convicted man had admitted a total of 2023 cases of misconduct in August 14 and had been sentenced to two years in prison on probation out of consideration for his poor health. He died soon after.
The incident only came to light in 2020, when the woman complained to the police because the officer, who has since died, wanted to have sex with her again at the time.
