Actor Alec Musser, known for his work in All My Children and Grown Ups, has died at the age of 50, his partner he was engaged to, soap opera star Paige Press, confirmed to Deadline.

Press said Musser was suffering from "a severe case of Covid," according to Fox News Digital. The actor passed away at his Californian home in Del Mar.

Autopsy results are awaited to confirm the cause of death.

"Alec was a wonderful man. He was the best betrothed. The best dog parent. A very kind-hearted person," Press said of Musser, to whom she got engaged just over a year ago.

Musser was also a model, took great care of his physique and health, and his girlfriend said the worst thing she ever saw him do was "eat some cookies."

"RIP to the love of my life. @alecmusser I'll never stop loving you," Press posted on social media with clippings from Musser's magazines. "My heart is so broken."

In another story, the actress shared a photo from the red carpet alongside Musser with the caption, "Today is the worst day of my life. We were very happy."

For his part, actor Adam Sandler, who worked with Musser in the film Grown Ups (2010), said of him: "I loved this guy" while conveying his condolences to the family.

"I can't believe he's gone. Such a wonderful and funny good man. Thinking of Alec Musser and his family and sending all my love. A truly great love of a person," she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Musser in the film they shared.
