Médiamétrie is publishing this Thursday morning the radio audiences for the period November-December 2023 in a context that is still difficult for the radio market. Europe 1 continued to grow, with 2.244 million listeners. Thank you!

With 2.244 million listeners, Europe 1 attracted 234,000 new people in one year, the best growth of generalist stations. A more loyal audience is on the agenda with a listening time that has increased by 11 minutes and a weight in listening to the radio medium is also on the rise (3.4% of audience share at +0.5pt in one year).

Information at the heart of Europe 1...

The news with Dimitri Pavlenko, Pascal Praud, Céline Géraud and Laurence Ferrari once again boosts Europe 1's audiences:

  • Europe 1 Matin (7 a.m. to 9 a.m.), led by Dimitri Pavlenko, listened to by 1,168,000 people, is progressing on all indicators: +71,000 listeners in one year in cumulative audience (AC) and +0.3pt in audience share. A morning show that keeps its main appointments including: La Grande interview with Sonia Mabrouk, editorials by Vincent Hervouët, Alexis Brézet and Vincent Trémolet de Villers but also Les signatures de Gaspard Proust, Philippe Val and Catherine Nay, not to mention the unmissable Prescriptions culture with Nicolas Carreau in the lead. Since the start of the school year, the morning show has welcomed new events: La revue de presse by Olivier de Lagarde and Le zapping d'Europe 1 by Dimitri Vernet, Jérôme Béglé and Charlotte d'Ornellas;
  • With 608,000 listeners, Pascal Praud welcomes more listeners and continues his momentum of the new season with the best year-on-year increase in audience share (+1.4 pt). In one year, 157,000 new listeners join the show every day between 11 a.m. and 13 p.m. (2nd best growth on the market);
  • Céline Géraud at the helm of Europe 1 13h and Laurence Ferrari with Punchline! are following this trend with an increase of +0.6pt and +0.4pt respectively in one year.

These results confirm the public's support for the station's information events and the installation of the morning show led by Dimitri Pavlenko for the past 3 seasons.

... But also entertainment

Entertainment also remains at the heart of Europe 1's programmes, as evidenced by the success of 2 new presenters (Thomas Isle and Sophie Davant)

  • Culture Médias with Thomas Isle (+107,000 listeners in one year), achieved the best increase in market share over a year between 9 and 11 a.m.;
  • Sophie Davant, who has been the face of the Sophie & les Copains programme since the beginning of the season, is attracting new curious people and strengthening its position on the market (+0.7pt of audience share in one wave; the best growth of the media between 16 and 18 p.m.);
  • Christophe Hondelatte, with Hondelatte Raconte, strengthened his audience with the arrival of 63,000 new people and saw his audience share jump by +1.1pt in one wave;

Finally, Elisabeth Assayag, who puts companies in the spotlight every day in La France bouge, at 20pm since the start of the school year, settles on the market with the best progression in PdA (+1.7pt in a wave) and seduces her audience with a listening time that is longer (+15 minutes).

Strong digital growth

Europe 1 is also recording strong growth in its digital listening: with more than 100 million views over the November-December 2023 period, Europe 1 has doubled its visibility on its social channels (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat) and remains the leading generalist station on YouTube.

The station, which joined the ACPM ranking at the beginning of the season, also accumulated more than 11.2 million streaming sessions during the month of November, becoming the 5th station on the market.
