It is the most anticipated series of this year 2024 on Disney+. The streaming platform will soon unveil "Kaiser Karl", its new creation about the extraordinary career of German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, played by Daniel Brühl.2024 will definitely be the year of fashion on Disney+. From January 19, the streaming platform will offer an event series on the Spanish couturier Cristóbal Balenciaga, whose creations reigned over the fashion world for several decades (especially in the 50s and 60s). Another "fashion" event of 2024 on Disney+: the release of Kaiser Karl, an exceptional series about the rise of Karl Lagerfeld in the world of Parisian haute couture in the seventies.

Directed by Jérôme Salle and Audrey Estrougo, Kaiser Karl promises to lift the veil on "the most mysterious" of fashion designers by staging his rivalry with Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent but also his love story with Jacques de Bascher. As for the cast, we find the German actor Daniel Brühl (seen in Inglourious Basterds) as Karl Lagerfeld, Théodore Pellerin as Jacques de Bascher, Arnaud Valois as Yves Saint Laurent, and Alex Lutz as Pierre Bergé. Agnès Jaoui will play the role of Gaby Aghion.
A first photo to make us wait
To make us wait for the release of Kaiser Karl, the date of which has not yet been revealed, Disney+ has just shared the very first photo of the series which will be available in six episodes. In the photo, Daniel Brühl can be seen as Karl Lagerfeld, in profile, recognizable by his unforgettable white hair styled in a ponytail.

Disney+ isn't the only platform with an interest in the world of fashion. Apple TV+ will soon unveil its new creation on Christian Dior. Titled The New Look, the ten-episode series will star Ben Mendelsohn, Juliette Binoche and Maisie Williams.
