Next Wednesday, the Ministry of Health will impose the mandatory use of the mask in health centres throughout Spain through a declaration of coordinated actions to equalise the protection against respiratory viruses of all citizens and provide legal protection to the communities that have already implemented it.

This has been reported to EFE by sources from the department headed by Mónica García, who specify that this decision is taken by virtue of article 65 of the law on cohesion and quality of the National Health System, which regulates the declaration of coordinated actions in public health and that "obliges all parties" included in it.

Wednesday is when the deadline ends for the different autonomies to analyse the proposal that the Ministry has transferred to them this Monday to resume the mandatory use of masks in health centres, which so far have only been accepted by six: Catalonia, Valencian Community, Aragon, Murcia and, from tomorrow, the Canary Islands and Asturias.

But in the Interterritorial Council convened this Monday, other communities have expressed their disagreement with the mandatory use of the mask in health centers and hospitals.
