Regarding the response to the drug scandal of the American football team, Japan University President Mariko Hayashi visited the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and submitted an improvement plan that included the establishment of a "Kaizen and Reform Council" in January and special measures for successful applicants who wish to join the American football club, which has been decided to be discontinued.

In November, Japan University presented a response policy that included a review of the governance system regarding the response to the drug incident on the American football team, and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology requested that the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology submit a specific plan and deadline.

In response to this, President Mariko Hayashi visited the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) on the 11th and submitted a concrete improvement plan.

According to the improvement plan, the Board of Trustees will decide to establish a "Reform Council" to monitor the governance of the university in January, and to assign a support team to the president and
the
president by the end of March 25.

In addition, with regard to the American football club, which has been decided to be discontinued, special
measures will be taken to postpone the admission procedure and the deadline for withdrawal for successful applicants who wish to join the club, and if they decline, the admission fee will be refunded in full.

President Hayashi said, "I have always felt my own inadequacy as the chairman of the board, and although it will not happen overnight, we must make an all-out effort to carry out major reforms under the fierce reflection that the time has come when we need to review 'Nichidai Sports.'"

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) will establish a follow-up system with experts within the ministry in December to provide guidance and advice.
